The harder outer shell fully covers all the lower edges of the helmet, so the EPS foam is well protected from being dropped or rolling around in your boot. Despite the excellent coverage, the overall form is quite sleek gelmets closely follows the shape of your head, unlike most other helmets which tend to be excessively wide.
Kudos to the TLD team for putting a decent visor on it too; the screw-in alloy hardware is much more commuter bike helmet than any plastic is going to be, and once adjusted it stays firmly in place. The D2 and D3 look awesome. My Bell Super 2R Mips has been great.
Not winning any style awards either but it's not bad. Fit me better and has chin bar option which has been great too.
I'm very excited that big companies are starting to incorporate this newer technology into ehlmets. There is no such thing as enough protection for our heads. I googled, couldn't seem to find it.
I found it. I wonder if it's really fonctionnal on an open face helmet. It must be very well sizing your head to work properly no? I ride in the damn tropics and I don't consider it a hot helmet.
Most comfortable helmet ever. And my gray drone is nice and subtle. Zuman May 29, at ErikRC10 May 27, at It doesn't make any sense anymore.
The black and white helmets look decent but the other two don't cut it for me! Stick to the pinstripes and classy look!
Please don't follow in the direction of all these other companies who go crazy with colours. As an A1 user, I have to say that yellow is the is the worst looking helmet I've ever seen. Like the non symmetrical patterns on the other though. Vertiigo think they work because I feel dizzy just looking at them. Hows this sound. While we wouldn't say that any of the helmets in our test don't work with the Leatt, we found that models with the least downward curve of the chin guard allowed for better range of motion while on the bike.
One helmet that has a radical downward sloping chin guard is the Bell Sanction, and it doesn't make for the best match with the Leatt. Since the Sanction is likely the least protective helmet in our test, we don't think that many riders will be looking to combine the Sanction with a neck brace for added protection anyways.
Fit is likely the most important single characteristic of a helmet that encases the entire head.

Always remember to fasten the chin strap. We've heard more than one horror story of a rider forgetting to fasten the strap and having the helmet deslgn off in a violent crash.
Chin straps should be worn as tight as you can handle without feeling as if you are choking. Full-faces are sized by measuring the circumference of the head on a level plane just above the eyebrows using a flexible measuring device.
